Have the linked courses been beneficial to you and if so how? If not, why not?
This course has benefit me any the following ways:
 I only make one trip to school so I’m saving time and money.
 I now understand how to connect my lesson with another class when co-teaching.
 Both courses have taught me how to relate to students and how to catch their attention by working with Blogger, Utube, Photo Story, Music recordings, Videos and a plethora of editing applications.

Have the digital photo/storytelling assignments been worthwhile in helping you learn the technology skills presented?
It has been a pleasure to work with digital photo/storytelling assignments and all the software provided with it. I thought it would be impossible to master the applications. But surprisingly, it wasn’t complicated at all. I am glad I took this course and learned all the techniques to becoming a skilled narrator while creating a digital story.

Have the digital photo/storytelling assignments been worthwhile in helping you learn the popular culture content?
Popular culture contents helped me to understand how everything we deal with in life can be popular. I enjoyed working with the theme called “Fashion” and combining it into a digital story.

Do you think that the linked course pairing helped you connect technical skills to content area knowledge? If so, how and if not, what do you think did not work?
This course connected my technical skills to the fullest. I now know how to teach with digital story, Utube, Blogger and regular PowerPoint presentations. I think I would be well rounded when teaching computer class and knowing how to relate to the students.

Would you be interested in taking other linked courses if they were offered and would you recommend this pair of linked courses to other students?
I would recommend taking linked courses to all my peers. As a matter of fact, I have signed up to take another linked course for Spring 2009. It is very convenient for the lifestyle I live.

Is there anything else you can suggest that you feel would improve the digital photography/storytelling half of the linked course pair?
I feel as though each linked course was well planned and very organized in all the teaching material provided for me.

One option under consideration is to have a linked pair of courses where the content area course would be offered as a traditional 3 hour per week face-to-face course and the digital photo/storytelling course would be offered online, or mostly online. Please discuss your reaction to this idea and provide any questions or comments you have on this topic.
I would not like this idea for the following reasons: I enjoyed Dr. Robin’s teaching skills and demonstration on how to be a good story teller, how to narrate and edit pictures while creating a story, how to take pictures in different light settings, and explaining what time of the day would be a good time to take pictures.

I feel as though I would not understand all the materials taught to me as good as actually sitting in a face-to–face class. I personally learn better when having hands-on computer courses.

Eventhough there were several mispelled words in the article, I was able to understand what was being explained and how “linked course” came about. Overall, I did not like the fact that the article reflects many negative outcomes about the declining of classes in the IT field. I do understand that facts needed to be stated, but it was kind of dispressing knowing the field your studying is not standing the test of times.

Burning a CD was fairly easy. I placed my final project on the desktop, then dragged and dropped the file into the D: drive (Roxio software). A pop-up window appeared displaying a CD Writing Wizard. I followed each step to complete the process. Upon completion, another window appeared letting me know that Roxio has successfully completed the writing of the CD.

I have attached my audio for Assignment 9a. I had trouble trying to mix the narration and music together. But, once I went back and read the instructions again, everything fell into place. The editing process was fairly easy and very interesting.

In class, we discussed our scripts in a smaller group which gave me an opportunity to gather ideas from others about my project. So far, each comment and idea was positive and they said I did a good job and no changes needed to be made at this time.
